Festival FAQs

When and where is the festival?

The All About Us Juneteenth Festival will take place on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Green Ring in Liberty State Park, located at 200 Morris Pesin Drive, Jersey City, NJ 07305.

How do I purchase a ticket?


You can purchase tickets directly on our website at allaboutusfest.com. Simply visit the site, select your ticket type, and follow the prompts to complete your order.

How do I check in and get my festival wristband?


All guests must check in at the main entrance with their ticket confirmation email. Upon entry, you will receive a festival wristband, which is required for access. Please note that re-entry is not permitted. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Kids 12 and under are free, but must have a valid ticket for entry.

How do I get a 21+ wristband for the bar?


Guests aged 21 and over will receive a separate wristband for bar access, at the bar entrance. A valid government-issued ID is required at entry. There is a limit of 5 alcoholic drinks per person. Patron will not be allowed to leave the bar area with an alcoholic beverage. Alcohol must stay in the designated bar area.

Is there re-entry?


No, once your ticket is scanned, there is no re-entry.
 

How do I get to the festival using public transportation?


The festival is easily accessible from Manhattan, Jersey City, Newark, and Bayonne.

​

  • From Manhattan or Newark: Take the PATH train to Grove Street, then transfer to the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail and ride to Liberty State Park Station. (Estimated travel time: 35–45 minutes)
     

  • From Bayonne or Jersey City: Take the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail directly to Liberty State Park Station. (Estimated travel time: 10–20 minutes)
     

From the station, it’s just a short walk to the festival entrance.

Use the NJ Transit app or Google Maps as a transit planner to check routes, schedules, and travel times in real time.


Limited free parking is also available if you prefer to drive.

 

What are the parking options?

Free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis at several designated lots in and around Liberty State Park. Complimentary shuttles will run every 5–10 minutes between each lot and the festival entrance from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, making it easy to get to and from the event.

What items are allowed at the festival?

​

  • Bags must be 12"x6"x12" or smaller. For the safety of our patrons, all bags are subject to search

  • Blankets, beach towels

  • Collapsible chairs

  • Empty reusable bottles or hydration packs

  • Strollers/wagons for children

  • Non-professional cameras

  • Liquid sunscreen, in non-aerosol containers 3oz or less

  • Bug spray in non-aerosol containers of 3oz or less

  • Rain ponchos

  • Umbrellas (small, collapsible-shaft umbrellas, i.e. purse umbrellas, tote umbrellas, etc.)

  • Ear protection for kids

  • Empty non-glass water container up to 2 liters in size

  • Empty Camelbak style water bladder system with one pocket for the water bladder and one additional pocket

  • Portable Phone Chargers

  • Medically necessary items (with documentation)

 

**Medicine, please note that prescription and OTC medications are subject to specific guidelines**

 

**Medicine, based on the following guidelines: Prescription medications are allowed only in the original prescription bottle, any persons attempting to bring in prescription medication must have a government-issued photo identification card that matches the name printed on the prescription, and the pills in the bottle must match the description printed on the prescription. You will only be allowed to carry the dosage of prescription medication required for the duration the event date. Over-the-counter medications are allowed provided that they are new and in the original, factory-sealed container.**

 

What items are not allowed at the festival?

  • Weapons of any kind (including pepper spray)

  • Illegal drugs or paraphernalia

  • Outside food, beverages, and alcoholic beverages

  • Glass of any kind

  • Drones, UAVs, laser pointers

  • Professional photography gear and flash photogrphy (unless approved)

  • Large umbrellas, tents, canopies, and shade structures

  • Coolers or large bags

  • Pets (except service animals)

  • Fireworks or flammables

  • Amplified sound systems or portable speakers

  • Kegs and mini kegs 

  • Bicycles, skateboards, scooters (non-accessibility)

  • Unauthorized flyers, banners, promo items

What happens if it rains?


The All About Us Juneteenth Festival will be held rain or shine.

Will water be available?


Yes! Free bottled water will be available while supplies last.
 

What kind of food and vendors will be on-site?


Attendees can enjoy a wide variety of food options featuring diverse cuisines to suit every taste. Our Vendor Village is thoughtfully curated with artisan merchants offering handmade goods, apparel, artwork, body care products, and more. In addition, several local organizations will be onsite with information tents, sharing valuable community resources and services.

 

What should I do in a medical emergency?


If you or someone near you experiences a medical emergency, please alert the nearest festival staff member, volunteer, or security officer immediately.

​

We will have EMS professionals from Jersey City Medical Center onsite and ready to respond. An ambulance will be stationed on the grounds throughout the day.

​

For those feeling overheated or unwell, a misting and cooling tent is available near the medical area for relief from the heat.

​

Your safety is our top priority, don’t hesitate to ask for help.

What should I do in case of a non-medical emergency?


Your safety is our top priority. We work closely with local and state authorities to ensure a secure environment throughout the event. If you experience or witness a non-medical emergency, please notify the nearest staff member, security personnel, or volunteer immediately. Onsite support includes state police, park police, private security, and other trained personnel ready to assist.
 

How will I be notified in case of an emergency?

In the event of an emergency, attendees will be notified through stage announcements, text alerts sent to registered guests, and in-person instructions from festival staff and volunteers positioned throughout the grounds.


What is your smoking policy?


Smoking and vaping is not permitted anywhere on festival grounds
 

What’s available in the Kids Zone?


The Kids Zone will feature a variety of fun and free activities for families and children to enjoy throughout the day. Offerings include lawn games, bubbles, popcorn, and cotton candy, along with special attractions like face painting from 1–5 PM, the Gotta Go Gaming trailer, the Cool Kidz Bus, and an exciting Wind Wolves Kite Show.

What is your refund policy? 

​

All sales are final, tickets are non-refundable. 

 

Is there seating available?


The All About Us Juneteenth Festival is a general admission, standing-room-only event. However, there will be a limited number of picnic tables available in the food area for attendees to sit and enjoy their meals.

 

Is the festival accessible?


The All About Us Juneteenth Festival is committed to being an accessible and inclusive event. We continuously strive to improve accessibility so that all guests can fully enjoy the festival experience. 

​

ADA-accessible porta johns will be available throughout the grounds, and ADA shuttle service will run from all official parking locations, with designated ADA parking available in Lot 8.
